Summertime!

I personally am more of a fan of Spring and Fall, in my opinion the perfect weather.  But I love summer because my family is all together!  We get to do fun stuff we don't normally get to do.  I was looking through old pictures and decided to share some of summers past.

What my week has looked like!

Well the Chickenpox have traveled to the other 3 children!  Yikes!  I may be tired but I am glad they have it together and before we leave for vacation!

 

 

 

I have been trying to find new ways to keep them distracted from the itching!  So I found these window markers yesterday.  C loved them!  I was outside making supper with Dad and when we came back in, this is what she had wrote on the window!  How special!!!!

 

 

Leave it to K, even through the itching and soreness he is still his silly self!  He definitely has them the worst!  I feel so bad for them all, but especially him.  He has them around his eyes, mouth, nose and ears!  YUCK!

 

 

J finally got to go back to school last week!  Here are the final 3 chilling on the couch watching cartoons.  This was still at the beginning of their outbreaks so they are still in decent moods.

 

 

J ended up having two pox get infected from his itching :/ so I had to take him and get them checked out.  Luckily they have healed super quickly!  Thank God!

 

 

Dad trying to sooth C by watching music videos and singing to her.  This always helps all of the children, but especially her!  She loves to hear her Daddy sing to her!  I love the sweetness of these moments!  There is just no way to capture the true love they feel!

Surprise!

I have been planning on trying to throw Dad a surprise party for ever! I mean it, almost 12 years of being together and I have never been able to surprise him!  So last year I had started thinking of ideas on how to do it.  Circumstances arose last year and Dads birthday came and went. :( So 6 months ago I started coming up with a plan!

I had a few people who really helped me out, one who was the bar owner where the party was at. Without them it would not have come together like it did!  A dear friend took him "out to eat" and his wife helped with it!

He was 100% surprised and had no idea what I had been planning this whole time.  It was not huge, but it was his some of his closest friends.  We had a blast!  I am so happy I was finally able to get him!  He deserves so much more!  He is an amazing father, husband and friend!  He would do anything for anyone!  He is one of the most selfless people I know!

I love you so much Dad!

Spots, dots and chickenpox!

Well it is official...J has the chicken pox! He started with a bump two days ago that I thought was just a simple ingrown hair because it was right in his hairline. Last night when Aunt, uncle and E were here he was complaining of being itchy, so dad had him take off his shirt and sure enough he is covered in spots! It has taken a look at 9 1/2 years for one of them to get it but we will see now how quickly it go through all 4 of them!

You can't see them very well in this picture, but he now has more on his face and his back is covered!  I told him I was going to get a marker and play dot to dot! ;)  He wasn't as amused!

On a different note, aunt goes in to have baby A this morning! We can't wait to see her!  She is a beautiful little mite!  Makes me want a little baby all over again, and yes I would do it in a heartbeat!

 

I have been busy making my very first batch of strawberry preserves!  They turned out yummy!!  I can't wait to get more strawberries, and other fruit and make more!  On a similar note, my garden is starting to sprout!  We have beans, beets, cucumbers and squash all popping through!  It makes me so excited!  I swear I will be a whole lot better at my garden this year!

The Mothers Day desserts that all my kids made me! They were so proud of these because they made them all by  themselves! I couldn't have been more proud to eat them for dessert last night.

I am blessed with an amazing little family! Dad has to work today but we will be together tonight! All of these hearts have given me so much joy in my life! I don't know what I would do without them!
