This is how exciting the carving was to do David! Keith slept through the whole thing! I tried so hard to wake him up :( At least he was happy with the pumpkin that Mama carved up for him!

Why hello there!
Dad set up his hunting camera last week. We have gotten a few good shots of some younger doe and as you can see a young buck.
I laugh every time I see this picture. It just makes me think he knew he was going to have his picture taken and he was posing! Needless to say Dad and J were pretty dang excited to see this picture come up! The kids love looking through the pictures.
If you look in the left corner you can see a possum. In the pictures leading up to this one you can see that the possum was hissing at the dear. Obviously it did not faze this deer.

Giggly girls, movie and pizzas....OH MY!
We celebrated C's birthday a little late this year. To many things going on for everyone in September! She actually had no complaints about waiting. This was her very first time hosting a slumber party so she was incredibly excited! As you can see from the girls faces above they were having fun!
We decided that we would take them out to Pizza Hut for supper and then go to Hotel Transylvainia.
My nephew tagged along with us. How cute is this picture! They held hands and skipped everywhere we went!
Busy coloring and playing Tic-Tac-Toe while waiting for our Pizzas to come! I figured with kids that age they all have such different tastes so they each got their own little personal pan pizzas.
Patiently, or not so much, waiting for the movie to start! We got a little silly while waiting and I had to talk to them about being good once other people got in the theater. It was really funny as soon as the lights dimmed all 4 kids sat and stared at the screen! Did not hardly move for the whole movie. It was a super cute movie, the girls really liked it they said. I almost feel, though, that Aunt A and Myself laughed at it a lot more then they did! I am sure there were things that the girls didn't get that we did.
All in all a perfect, fun night! I love hearing the sounds of the giggly girls in the back of the truck the whole way home! We got settled in our pj's and it did not take long at all...all 3 girls were passed out cold! I would say they had fun too!

A easy way to learn letters.
I can't remember where I saw this, my guess is Pinterest since that is where I seem to be getting a lot of my ideas lately!
I laminated a plain white sheet of paper and wrote on it with permanent marker. I wrote the lower case alphabet in random order. Then I cleaned and saved milk caps and wrote the upper case alphabet on them. A simple matching game!
Some of you may think coming up with 26 milk tops would take forever! NOT IN OUR HOUSE! We go through so much milk it is ridiculous! That prob took us a little over a month! If any of our kids break any bones(minus J's 8 years ago) I will be baffled!
Super easy snack!
Whoopie Pie mix in a box. Can it get any easier than that?! It comes with the frosting, sprinkles and cake mix. |
A pleased customer. |

Fun day in the park.
Dad had to leave for his annual training so I took the kids and we spent the afternoon at the park. This is a park in a town close to ours. Even though it is close I have never been there with them. I need to start exploring new adventures with my kids. I have lived around this area just about my whole life, but I still want to find new things for us to try.
D was probably the most excited to go the park. He is finally big enough to do almost all of the things that his siblings can do. He ran from one thing to the next squealing with excitement!
I love watching their faces and hearing their laughter! Honestly, tell me if there is any better of a sound than that?!

Airplanes!!!
Seriously, what boy (big or small) does not love airplanes! My 4 boys are no exception! Dad went the local craft store to buy some stuff and came home with airplanes for the boys. D and K got already made airplanes. Since J is older, he got a simple model airplane that you can sling-shot. They were all so excited! As soon as J's plane was together they all ran outside to try them out. It was so cute, I had to force them to come back inside because it was getting to dark and cold to fly them. I love seeing their imaginations come to life!
Moments like these...
C has started a reading program in her school. She is so proud to show us how well she is doing. Every night this week as soon as Dad gets home from work, she climbs up on the counter with a new book and reads away to him! I am so proud of her and how well she is doing. I love to see her excitement about reading! I hope that is one thing that I have instilled in not only her, but all of my kids! I love to read, books can take you places!

Painting....A love/hate relationship!
I have so much to paint and I truly love it. But it does defiantly get monotonous after a while. I find myself wanting to constantly switch colors so that it would break up the hours. The other day I had four new little helpers! They ended up being a completely mess, but they listened when I told them what walls to paint and no others! Although the painting was kind of all over the place, they had fun and they were occupied!
