Pancake Morning

I have looked for a pancake recipe and tried many.  But I could never find one that was as good as what they claimed.  This recipe is so easy and super yummy!  I found it on Martha Stewert website.  I actually quadruple this recipe and store it in an airtight container so I can have the convenience of the box mixes without the preservatives.

1 cup flour
2 TBS sugar
2tsp baking powder
2 TBS cinnamon(we love cinnamon, if you don't cut this down)
1 egg
2 TBS oil
1 cup milk

Mix up and cook in pan/griddle.  The kids have gobbled them all up this morning.   If you want to store it like I do, just mix up the dry ingredients and store in the air tight container.  Then when you are ready measure out and add the liquids.

And this is what happens when Roxie gets to nosey at 5am wanting to see what Mom is doing!  She bumped into me as I was dumping the flour and got it dumped on her head!  She found out that flour was not the best tasting thing like she thought!

  1. Your doggie is so cute! I love Golden Retrievers, the best dog for families. They never stop smiling. Ha ha!

Did you give her some pancakes?

    1. That's funny. My husband always tells her she is smiling! We love her!
No she doesn't get any table scraps(we try to really enforce this). She was just content with sitting on my feet while I made them :)

  2. She sounds like a very good dog!! My mom had made a cinnamon roll ring one time and Bailey got his front paws up there and ate the entire thing before my mom heard him!

    1. Oh no! That wouldn't surprise me! If Roxie ever gets her paws on something, it is gone. There is no hoping you can yell or run fast enough!
